Hello to everyone reading my short biography. My name is Angela Tso and as of fall 2009, I will be a junior at the State University of New York at New Paltz. I come from a small but diverse state school with many new experiences and opportunities. I am seeking a bachelor’s degree in both accounting and finance. My hope is to work for a non for profit organization. I would like to work within my field but at the same time help families and children. This would be my way of giving back to the community. Along with being involved in different clubs, I am also the vice president of an Asian club. We try to enrich the on-campus community about our culture through programs and a show. In the future, we hope to take part in more community work in New York City.
I grew up in the city of Briarwood in the borough of Queens. My entire education, until college, was based in that neighborhood. My elementary, middle and high school were all within a ten minute walk from my home. This does correlate with my lifestyle. I am very family oriented. Everything is centered around my home and those within it. I do whatever I can to be helpful and involved. Even though I live away from home, I still keep close contact with my family. In the future, I do plan to work in New York City if given the chance. I would like to give my family the same, and possibly better, opportunities I was offered.
My hobbies include, but are not limited to, playing tennis and in general being outdoors. There are a lot of great hiking trails right around my college. I love taking photos. I may not be a photographer but I do enjoy capturing those special moments on film. Taking photos while traveling is the best experience. I could be traveling around the New York City or around the United States. Both are great times to be taking pictures. There is truly nothing I am not willing to try or at least consider trying. I look forward to the new adventures and experiences that lie in my path.
